Arjun Kapoor reveals why he didn't act in Kabir Singh

For Shahid Kapoor, his last release Kabir Singh was THE film that brought an end to his drought of hits. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and a Hindi remake of his Telugu hit Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh became a super success at the box office. However, not everyone would know that the first choice for Kabir Singh's character was not Shahid but Arjun Kapoor.

It began when when producers Ashwin Varde and Murad Khetani, who also produced Arjun's Mubarakan, bought the rights for Arjun Reddy's Hindi remake. While they had Arjun in mind, Sandeep had met Shahid and promised him the film. Since Sandeep had to direct the Hindi version as well, they chose to go ahead with his choice. In a recent interview, Arjun opened up saying he wanted to respect Sandeep's choice and didn't want to be a troublemaker for the producers either by getting into a war of ego. Adding that only Sandeep could have churned out Kabir Singh as perfectly as he did, Arjun also heaped praises on Shahid, calling him a fantastic actor! On the work front, Arjun will be next seen in Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat. He's also working on Dibakar Banerjee's Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. Actors Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson are returning in the sequel of Hitman’s Bodyguard which released in 2017. This time, Salma Hayek joins the cast. Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi thriller with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan to go on floors around June-July

Telugu film director Nag Ashwin is best known for his National Award winning film Mahanati that starred Keerthy Suresh, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Akkineni. Now, the filmmaker is getting ready for his next big pan-India project which will star Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. The film was announced last year and currently Nag is working on the pre-production of the film. The project, like many others, got delayed due to the pandemic. However, talking to a tabloid, Nag Ashwin said that he has been fine tuning the script and logistics. He also had his round of meetings with all three leads separately. He said that pre-production has been going on for a long time and that they will take the film on floors in June-July. War director Siddharth Anand in talks with Prabhas for an action thriller

After the super success of War , director Siddharth Anand is currently shooting for Shah Rukh Khan's comeback film Pathan which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The shoot of the film is expected to be completed by June. After the post production of the film, Anand will start with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter which was announced earlier this month. Now, reports state that Siddharth Anand is planning his third film and plans on making it a pan-India film. Reportedly, Anand approached Prabhas for the film which is touted to be the biggest film of his career. The director has had multiple meetings with the Pan-India star in Hyderabad last year.
