The shooting for a special song from Athiya Shetty’s upcoming film Motichoor Chaknachoor came to a halt after the technicians staged a walkout with members of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE). The protest was a mark of their allegiance to the unit hands who were formerly associated with the film and were allegedly not paid their dues by the producer of the film, Rajesh Bhatia. The song was to be shot at Filmistan Studio in Goregaon. In March this year, the producer had shown the door to director Debamitra Hasan and several other unit members citing creative differences. Hasan claims that they are still to be compensated for their work. Meanwhile, Ashok Dubey, the general secretary of FWICE while speaking to a media house said that they had received several complaints regarding the sacking of technicians and non-payment of dues. The Federation had issued several notices to the producer, who chose to not pay attention to it. Therefore, the technicians decided to protest on Thursday. Viacom 18, the co-producers of the film have agreed to meet the FWICE members after they realized that the shoot had to be stopped mid-way. According to the director Debamitra Hasan, Bhatia had sacked her, the editor and the writer after they had an argument about the edits in the film. Meanwhile, Rajesh Bhatia said that the shoot was not halted, but the crew only stopped during the lunch break. He also said that the FWICE members were on the set to check if the technicians were carrying ID cards. When he was questioned about the nonpayment of dues, he said that the payments are structured and a part of the payment will be done after the release. On Saturday, August 28, the actor's residence was raided after which the same evening, he was taken to NCB office for questioning. Dwayne Johnson to reunite with Jumanji director Jake Kasdan for Christmas-themed adventure movie Red One

Filmmaker Jake Kasdan is reuniting with his Jumanji star Dwayne Johnson for Red One , the unique Christmas-themed feature project set up at Amazon. Hiram Garcia, the President of production of Johnson's Seven Bucks Productions created the original story which is now being translated into a script by Chris Morgan, who previously worked with Johnson on four Fast and Furious movies as well as the Johnson-led 2019 spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw . According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amazon picked up the project in June. The details are being kept in the sack but Red One , which is a tentative title, is described by Amazon as “a globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy, imagining a whole new universe to explore within the holiday genre.” Johnson is attached to star, possibly even as Santa himself, and is producing with his Seven Bucks Productions cohorts, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia.
