TOOFAN FIRST LOOK: Farhan Akhtar transforms into a boxer; film to release on October 2, 2020

Filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Farhan Akhtar finally kick-started the shoot of their upcoming movie Toofan on the special occasion of Janmashtami earlier last month. Farhan and Mehra are reuniting after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. While the actor has been working hard and training for months to get into shape for the role, he has been sharing his journey on social media. In the first look, Farhan Akhtar is all beefed up in this shirtless photo whilst getting ready for a match in a boxing ring. Along with the look, he also announced that Toofan will release on Gandhi Jayanti, October 2, 2020. “Toofan Uthega!! FIRST LOOK! #TOOFAN releasing 2nd October 2020!! ,” he captioned his post. As of now, Farhan Akhtar is gearing up for his upcoming movie, The Sky Is Pink where the actor will be sharing the screen with Priyanka Chopra with whom he has also worked in Dil Dhadakne Do and directed her in Don 3. Directed by Shonali Bose, the film also stars Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf and it is slated to release on October 11, 2019.

Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson and Salma Hayek starrer The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard to now release on June 16

Actors Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson are returning in the sequel of Hitman’s Bodyguard which released in 2017. This time, Salma Hayek joins the cast. Titled The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard , Lionsgate and Millennium have announced that the film will now release on June 16. Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi thriller with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan to go on floors around June-July

Telugu film director Nag Ashwin is best known for his National Award winning film Mahanati that starred Keerthy Suresh, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Akkineni. Now, the filmmaker is getting ready for his next big pan-India project which will star Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. The film was announced last year and currently Nag is working on the pre-production of the film. The project, like many others, got delayed due to the pandemic. However, talking to a tabloid, Nag Ashwin said that he has been fine tuning the script and logistics. He also had his round of meetings with all three leads separately. He said that pre-production has been going on for a long time and that they will take the film on floors in June-July. Ashwin will once again be collaborating with Spanish cinematographer Dani Sanchez-Lopez and composer Mickey J Meyer after Mahanati for the upcoming film. War director Siddharth Anand in talks with Prabhas for an action thriller

After the super success of War , director Siddharth Anand is currently shooting for Shah Rukh Khan's comeback film Pathan which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The shoot of the film is expected to be completed by June. After the post production of the film, Anand will start with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter which was announced earlier this month. Now, reports state that Siddharth Anand is planning his third film and plans on making it a pan-India film. Reportedly, Anand approached Prabhas for the film which is touted to be the biggest film of his career. The director has had multiple meetings with the Pan-India star in Hyderabad last year. It is being reported that Prabhas has liked the idea and Siddharth's vision but will take a final call after looking at the bound script. Reports state that the meetings so far have gone well.
