WOAH! Yash Raj Films dubs the Hrithik Roshan – Tiger Shroff starrer War in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam

Remember how Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment had insisted on releasing the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees alongside Hrithik’s Kaabil? Well, it’s payback time now. In a sudden and unexpected move Yash Raj films has decided to dub their big Gandhi Jayanti release War featuring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff into three South Indian languages—Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam—besides Hindi. This places the other big Gandhi Jayanti release Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy (originally in Telugu and dubbed into Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam) at a singular disadvantage, as the multi-language format was the major USP that this Telugu film was hoping to cash in on while competing with War in the National market. A source close to Yash Raj reveals, “The decision to dub War into South Indian languages is taken in the light of the huge enthusiasm that the film’s trailer has whipped up. Yash Raj never expected this level of pan-India interest in their product. So they decided to make it more accessible in the South.” Whatever the reason for expanding its bandwidth and reach, War will now give Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy a big fight everywhere in South India except of course, Andhra Pradesh where Chiranjeevi fans will make sure there is no competition for their iconic star’s most ambitious films. For the rest of the country it an open war in multiple languages on the most peaceful day of the year. May Gandhiji’s soul rest in peace.

Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi thriller with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan to go on floors around June-July

Telugu film director Nag Ashwin is best known for his National Award winning film Mahanati that starred Keerthy Suresh, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Akkineni. Now, the filmmaker is getting ready for his next big pan-India project which will star Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. The film was announced last year and currently Nag is working on the pre-production of the film. The project, like many others, got delayed due to the pandemic. However, talking to a tabloid, Nag Ashwin said that he has been fine tuning the script and logistics. He also had his round of meetings with all three leads separately. He said that pre-production has been going on for a long time and that they will take the film on floors in June-July. War director Siddharth Anand in talks with Prabhas for an action thriller

After the super success of War , director Siddharth Anand is currently shooting for Shah Rukh Khan's comeback film Pathan which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The shoot of the film is expected to be completed by June. After the post production of the film, Anand will start with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter which was announced earlier this month. Now, reports state that Siddharth Anand is planning his third film and plans on making it a pan-India film. Reportedly, Anand approached Prabhas for the film which is touted to be the biggest film of his career. The director has had multiple meetings with the Pan-India star in Hyderabad last year.
