Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli pledge to donate Rs. 3 crore for COVID-19 fight

India’s much-loved celebrity couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have come forward to jointly donate Rs. 3 crore towards India’s fight against the novel coronavirus, as per industry sources. Anushka and Virat are both socially conscious citizens who have been extremely vocal about raising awareness on the COVID-19 pandemic in India and their noble move will hopefully inspire many others to come forward and contribute in their own capacity.

Anushka and Virat are contributing towards the PM-CARES Fund, an initiative by the leader of the nation Narendra Modi and also donating towards the Maharashtra Chief Minister's Relief Fund to fight COVID-19. In a joint statement, Anushka and Virat said they were pledging their “support towards PM-CARES Fund & the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (Maharashtra). Our hearts are breaking looking at the suffering of so many & we hope our contribution, in some way, helps easing the pain of our fellow citizens.”

Anushka and Virat have been vocal about how they have been deeply concerned about the coronavirus spread in the country. They have been doing their best to raise awareness about the issue and now they have also decided to support the nation in this time of crisis. They have already called for all Indians to unite and support fellow citizens in their recently shared videos on social media and their move will hopefully trigger a lot more people to come forward and pledge their support.

NCB arrests Armaan Kohli for illegal possession of cocaine

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested actor Armaan Kohli for illegal possession of drugs, on August 29. On Saturday, August 28, the actor's residence was raided after which the same evening, he was taken to NCB office for questioning. According to the reports, on Saturday, a team of the anti-drugs agency had intercepted one major drug peddler, Ajay Raju Singh. He was in possession of illegal drugs. The same day, the agency launched a follow up operation after interrogation of Singh. Following his inputs, the agency headed to Armaan Kohli's house. As per reports, a small quantity of cocaine was recovered. Armaan Kohli was arrested in 2018 by the Excise department. He was caught possessing 41 bottles of scotch whiskey at his residence which was against the law. On the work front, Armaan Kohli has worked in films like Jaani Dushman and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo . Dwayne Johnson to reunite with Jumanji director Jake Kasdan for Christmas-themed adventure movie Red One

Filmmaker Jake Kasdan is reuniting with his Jumanji star Dwayne Johnson for Red One , the unique Christmas-themed feature project set up at Amazon. Hiram Garcia, the President of production of Johnson's Seven Bucks Productions created the original story which is now being translated into a script by Chris Morgan, who previously worked with Johnson on four Fast and Furious movies as well as the Johnson-led 2019 spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw . According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amazon picked up the project in June. The details are being kept in the sack but Red One , which is a tentative title, is described by Amazon as “a globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy, imagining a whole new universe to explore within the holiday genre.” Johnson is attached to star, possibly even as Santa himself, and is producing with his Seven Bucks Productions cohorts, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia.
