Rohit Shetty donates Rs. 51 lakhs towards FWICE for the daily wagers

In the fight against COVID-19, the country is under lockdown putting a halt on all shooting and other work in the entertainment industry. The lockdown has drastically affected a lot of daily wagers in the entertainment industry.

To support them, the Federation of Western India Cinema Employees has started a fund to support the daily wagers. Rohit Shetty, who is known for his philanthropy, has made a donation of 51 lakhs towards FWICE for the welfare of the daily wager.

Ashoke Pandit who is the President of IFTDA took to social media to shared a note of appreciation for Rohit Shetty's support.


On the work front, Rohit Shetty will next be releasing his much-awaited film Sooryavanshi featuring Akshay Kumar as a cop. The film was slated to release on March 24 but had to be postponed due to the coronavirus crisis. The film also stars Katrina Kaif and has Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn in guest appearances.

NCB arrests Armaan Kohli for illegal possession of cocaine

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested actor Armaan Kohli for illegal possession of drugs, on August 29. On Saturday, August 28, the actor's residence was raided after which the same evening, he was taken to NCB office for questioning. According to the reports, on Saturday, a team of the anti-drugs agency had intercepted one major drug peddler, Ajay Raju Singh. He was in possession of illegal drugs. The same day, the agency launched a follow up operation after interrogation of Singh. Following his inputs, the agency headed to Armaan Kohli's house. As per reports, a small quantity of cocaine was recovered. Armaan Kohli was arrested in 2018 by the Excise department. He was caught possessing 41 bottles of scotch whiskey at his residence which was against the law. On the work front, Armaan Kohli has worked in films like Jaani Dushman and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo . Dwayne Johnson to reunite with Jumanji director Jake Kasdan for Christmas-themed adventure movie Red One

Filmmaker Jake Kasdan is reuniting with his Jumanji star Dwayne Johnson for Red One , the unique Christmas-themed feature project set up at Amazon. Hiram Garcia, the President of production of Johnson's Seven Bucks Productions created the original story which is now being translated into a script by Chris Morgan, who previously worked with Johnson on four Fast and Furious movies as well as the Johnson-led 2019 spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw . According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amazon picked up the project in June. The details are being kept in the sack but Red One , which is a tentative title, is described by Amazon as “a globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy, imagining a whole new universe to explore within the holiday genre.” Johnson is attached to star, possibly even as Santa himself, and is producing with his Seven Bucks Productions cohorts, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia.
