Samikssha Batnagar returns to small screen after 4 years with Zee TV’s Hamariwali Good News

Zee TV’s primetime drama Hamariwali Good News presents a heart-warming story showcasing a unique role reversal between a daughter-in-law - Navya (Srishti Jain) and her mother-in-law - Renuka (Juhi Parmar) to give their family the much-awaited Good News. While we've seen a lot of drama take place at the Tiwari house over the last couple of weeks, it looks like actor Samikssha Batnagar’s entry into the show is going to turn the whole tale on its head.

The popular actress has been a part of several top shows in the past, however, she has been away from the small screen for four years now. She had taken a break from television and tried to explore some new avenues. But it looks like Samiksha has made a comeback to TV once again with Zee TV’s Hamariwali Good News. The actress will be seen playing the role of Vrunda and her entry in the show is going to change the dynamics in the Tiwari household.

Till now, Mukund (Shakti Anand) has been under the influence of his sister, Sumitra. However, everything is set to change after Renuka gets Vrunda to their house. It sure looks like the latter is all set to expose Sumitra’s long-kept secret, leaving everyone shocked. In fact, it will be an eye-opener for Mukund and the Tiwari family.

Talking about entering the show, Samikssha mentioned, “It is an honour for me to work with Zee TV once again, especially on a unique show like Hamariwali Good News. The show is actually my comeback on Television after four long years. I had shifted my focus to films and I did a couple of interesting Hindi movies including Poster Boys where I was paired opposite Bobby Deol. While I was doing films, I was getting several opportunities from TV, but I wanted something challenging to make my comeback on the platform and that's when this part for Hamariwali Good News came to me. In the show, I am seen as Vrunda, who is a simple yet smart girl. She has different shades to her and I am sure she will leave everyone speechless after making a huge revelation about Sumitra. I am sure the audience will love Vrunda and they will surely connect with the character, I am giving my 100 per cent to justify my character and can't wait for everyone to see me on the small screen once again.”

NCB arrests Armaan Kohli for illegal possession of cocaine

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested actor Armaan Kohli for illegal possession of drugs, on August 29. On Saturday, August 28, the actor's residence was raided after which the same evening, he was taken to NCB office for questioning. According to the reports, on Saturday, a team of the anti-drugs agency had intercepted one major drug peddler, Ajay Raju Singh. He was in possession of illegal drugs. The same day, the agency launched a follow up operation after interrogation of Singh. Following his inputs, the agency headed to Armaan Kohli's house. As per reports, a small quantity of cocaine was recovered. Armaan Kohli was arrested in 2018 by the Excise department. He was caught possessing 41 bottles of scotch whiskey at his residence which was against the law. On the work front, Armaan Kohli has worked in films like Jaani Dushman and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo . Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson and Salma Hayek starrer The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard to now release on June 16

Actors Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson are returning in the sequel of Hitman’s Bodyguard which released in 2017. This time, Salma Hayek joins the cast. Titled The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard , Lionsgate and Millennium have announced that the film will now release on June 16. Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi thriller with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan to go on floors around June-July

Telugu film director Nag Ashwin is best known for his National Award winning film Mahanati that starred Keerthy Suresh, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Akkineni. Now, the filmmaker is getting ready for his next big pan-India project which will star Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. The film was announced last year and currently Nag is working on the pre-production of the film. The project, like many others, got delayed due to the pandemic. However, talking to a tabloid, Nag Ashwin said that he has been fine tuning the script and logistics. He also had his round of meetings with all three leads separately. He said that pre-production has been going on for a long time and that they will take the film on floors in June-July. Ashwin will once again be collaborating with Spanish cinematographer Dani Sanchez-Lopez and composer Mickey J Meyer after Mahanati for the upcoming film.
