Akshay Kumar's Prithviraj receives threats from Karni Sena; the outfit demands title change 

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has received a threat from the outfit, Karni Sena, over his upcoming film Prithviraj. The actor is set to play Prithviraj Chauhan in the Yash Raj Films' period drama, marking the debut of Manushi Chhillar who plays Sanyogita, and helmed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi. Surjeet Singh Rathore, President of the Youth Wing of the Karni Sena, has put forth three conditions for the film and warned Yash Raj Films' head honcho Aditya Chopra that if they don't comply with the demand, they will face the same situation as Sanjay Leela Bhansali did during Padmaavat.

He spoke to a daily and then shared news clippings on his Instagram. Rathore wrote in Hindi that the organisation respects Akshay Kumar and that YRF's Adiya Chopra should respect the last ‘Hindu Samrat’. The three conditions include the screening of the film before its release, the film be shown to the Rajput society, and the title of the film to have the full name — Veer Yoddha Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan.

Akshay Kumar had announced the film in 2019. He wrote, “Elated to share about my 1st historical film on my birthday!Humbled to have the opportunity to play a hero I look up to for his valor & values- Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan in one of my biggest films #Prithviraj. Producer @yrf ,director #DrChandraprakashDwivedi, releasing Diwali 2020.”

Due to the pandemic, Prithviraj got delayed. Now, they have decided to release it on November 5, 2021.

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested actor Armaan Kohli for illegal possession of drugs, on August 29. On Saturday, August 28, the actor's residence was raided after which the same evening, he was taken to NCB office for questioning. According to the reports, on Saturday, a team of the anti-drugs agency had intercepted one major drug peddler, Ajay Raju Singh. He was in possession of illegal drugs. Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson and Salma Hayek starrer The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard to now release on June 16

Actors Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson are returning in the sequel of Hitman’s Bodyguard which released in 2017. This time, Salma Hayek joins the cast. Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi thriller with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan to go on floors around June-July

Telugu film director Nag Ashwin is best known for his National Award winning film Mahanati that starred Keerthy Suresh, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Akkineni. Now, the filmmaker is getting ready for his next big pan-India project which will star Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. The film was announced last year and currently Nag is working on the pre-production of the film. The project, like many others, got delayed due to the pandemic. However, talking to a tabloid, Nag Ashwin said that he has been fine tuning the script and logistics. He also had his round of meetings with all three leads separately. He said that pre-production has been going on for a long time and that they will take the film on floors in June-July. Ashwin will once again be collaborating with Spanish cinematographer Dani Sanchez-Lopez and composer Mickey J Meyer after Mahanati for the upcoming film.
