Farhan Akhtar pens heartfelt note after Toofaan becomes the most-watched Hindi film on Amazon Prime Video

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's sports drama Toofaan starring Farhan Akhtar, Paresh Rawal and Mrunal Thakur has become Amazon Prime Video's Most Watched Film within the one week of its release. The movie was released on 16th July and it became people's favourite OTT movie. Toofaan was watched by more customers on Amazon Prime Video than any other Hindi films within a week of its release. The film was massively watched by people in 3,900 and more in cities and towns of India. It is estimated that masses from 160 countries watched the film on the OTT platform.

Toofaan actor Farhan Akhtar took to his Instagram handle and thanked his fans for loving the movie. He captioned it, "One must work hard regardless of reward but when it comes, it’s important to recognise those who made it happen. Thank you for making #Toofaan the most watched film on @primevideoin". The actor shared his picture from the boxing ring and wrote, " Thank you for being in our corner, Lots of love - Farhan Akhtar '' over it.

The 47-year-old actor is seen as a local goon Aziz Ali who turns boxer with the help of his coach. The film is supported by great artists like Vijay Raaz, Supriya Pathak, Sonali Kulkarni, and Hussain Dalal. This is Farhan's second association with director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra after the blockbuster biopic sports drama, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag based on the life of ace athlete Milkha Singh.

NCB arrests Armaan Kohli for illegal possession of cocaine

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested actor Armaan Kohli for illegal possession of drugs, on August 29. On Saturday, August 28, the actor's residence was raided after which the same evening, he was taken to NCB office for questioning. According to the reports, on Saturday, a team of the anti-drugs agency had intercepted one major drug peddler, Ajay Raju Singh. He was in possession of illegal drugs. The same day, the agency launched a follow up operation after interrogation of Singh. Following his inputs, the agency headed to Armaan Kohli's house. As per reports, a small quantity of cocaine was recovered. Armaan Kohli was arrested in 2018 by the Excise department. He was caught possessing 41 bottles of scotch whiskey at his residence which was against the law. On the work front, Armaan Kohli has worked in films like Jaani Dushman and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo . Dwayne Johnson to reunite with Jumanji director Jake Kasdan for Christmas-themed adventure movie Red One

Filmmaker Jake Kasdan is reuniting with his Jumanji star Dwayne Johnson for Red One , the unique Christmas-themed feature project set up at Amazon. Hiram Garcia, the President of production of Johnson's Seven Bucks Productions created the original story which is now being translated into a script by Chris Morgan, who previously worked with Johnson on four Fast and Furious movies as well as the Johnson-led 2019 spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw . According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amazon picked up the project in June. The details are being kept in the sack but Red One , which is a tentative title, is described by Amazon as “a globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy, imagining a whole new universe to explore within the holiday genre.” Johnson is attached to star, possibly even as Santa himself, and is producing with his Seven Bucks Productions cohorts, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia.
