Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan to release on June 3, 2022

Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan inspired by an incredible story of one of India's finest coaches is all set to hit the silver screen on 3rd June 2022. Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, the film also features Priyamani, Gajraj Rao and Rudranil Ghosh.

On September 30, Ajay Devgn tweeted, "Maidaan, A story that will resonate with every Indian, a film that I feel very strongly about. Mark the date on your calendar. Releasing worldwide on 3rd June, 2022."

Inspired from an incredible true story, it will showcase the journey of one of the finest coaches that emerged from India, the one who put India on the global map. Maidaan is based on real events between 1952 and 1962, also known as the “golden era of Indian football”.

Produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla, and Arunava Joy Sengupta, screenplay and dialogues are written by Saiwyn Quadras and Ritesh Shah respectively.

Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi thriller with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan to go on floors around June-July

Telugu film director Nag Ashwin is best known for his National Award winning film Mahanati that starred Keerthy Suresh, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Akkineni. Now, the filmmaker is getting ready for his next big pan-India project which will star Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. The film was announced last year and currently Nag is working on the pre-production of the film. The project, like many others, got delayed due to the pandemic. However, talking to a tabloid, Nag Ashwin said that he has been fine tuning the script and logistics. He also had his round of meetings with all three leads separately. The #MeToo wave which started in the West, took over India in 2018. Several women took to social media to reveal about people who harassed them in the past. The movement also brought into light the names of several Bollywood celebrities.
