Apple Studios has landed George Clooney and Brad Pitt starrer hot movie package that’s been the subject of a feverish bidding war. The project will be directed by Jon Watts.

Spider-Man: Homecoming director Jon Watts will be writing, directing and producing with Clooney’s Smokehouse Pictures and Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment producing. Lionsgate, Sony, Netflix, Universal, Amazon, Annapurna Pictures and Warner Bros. are also said to have circled the project that would see a reunion of the “Ocean’s Eleven” stars.

Deadline broke the news of the acquisition adding a theatrical release is also part of the agreement. Although most plot details are currently under wraps. The film is said to focus on two fixers who get the same job.

The Pitt-Clooney project can be considered as the latest addition to a growing line-up of films from Apple Studios. The Antoine Fuqua-directed Emancipation, starring and produced by Will Smith, and Martin Scorsese’s western “Killers of the Flower Moon” starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro are also on one of the most recent projects that Apple Studios have added to their bag.

Apart from Ocean’s Eleven, Pitt and Clooney have also appeared together for the Coen brothers’ 2008 comedy Burn After Reading.

On the work front, Clooney is currently directing Ben Affleck and Tye Sheridan in The Tender Bar for Amazon. The film is set to open on December 17. However, Watts has directed all three of the most recent Spider-Man films. His latest entry, Spider-Man: No Way Home, debuts this winter.

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested actor Armaan Kohli for illegal possession of drugs, on August 29. On Saturday, August 28, the actor's residence was raided after which the same evening, he was taken to NCB office for questioning. According to the reports, on Saturday, a team of the anti-drugs agency had intercepted one major drug peddler, Ajay Raju Singh. He was in possession of illegal drugs. The same day, the agency launched a follow up operation after interrogation of Singh. Following his inputs, the agency headed to Armaan Kohli's house. As per reports, a small quantity of cocaine was recovered. Armaan Kohli was arrested in 2018 by the Excise department. He was caught possessing 41 bottles of scotch whiskey at his residence which was against the law. On the work front, Armaan Kohli has worked in films like Jaani Dushman and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo . Dwayne Johnson to reunite with Jumanji director Jake Kasdan for Christmas-themed adventure movie Red One

Filmmaker Jake Kasdan is reuniting with his Jumanji star Dwayne Johnson for Red One , the unique Christmas-themed feature project set up at Amazon. Hiram Garcia, the President of production of Johnson's Seven Bucks Productions created the original story which is now being translated into a script by Chris Morgan, who previously worked with Johnson on four Fast and Furious movies as well as the Johnson-led 2019 spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw . According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amazon picked up the project in June. The details are being kept in the sack but Red One , which is a tentative title, is described by Amazon as “a globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy, imagining a whole new universe to explore within the holiday genre.” Johnson is attached to star, possibly even as Santa himself, and is producing with his Seven Bucks Productions cohorts, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia.
